G710+ Flickering?

Soooo... It would seem some events occasionally cause my Keyboards backlight to flicker. I've noticed some others have reported it with the G19 and another Logitech keyboard. If anything knows anything about this please say something here.

If my keyboard is not dying: This is a pretty nifty feature.

I imagine the game has code that interacts with the G710's API. I'm sure there's some Firaxis programmer somewhere who had a bright idea during a dark night of coding.

It's pretty cool I think i can confirm now it is just the quests.

It turns my keyboard LCD and backlight to a reddish pink.... Annoying. I have to manually reset the color.

I thought my keyboard was dying too the first time it happened. Then I started to notice it flashed when I finished researching something, or going up a Harmony level. Which is kind off cool, except for it resets the keyboard lights to the off state, so you have to manually turn them back on if you want them.

Have not seen any problems with my Logitech G19s.

I've got a G105 and I thought I was just imagining the backlight flickering. Good to know I'm not going crazier than I already am.

The keyboard flashing has been driving me nuts. Simplest solution: go into the Logitech Gaming Software and disable "Allow games to control illumination"

Better solution: Firaxis adds an option to the game settings (off by default) to all the user to toggle this for the game only.

I got the Logtech G710+ and I can confirm a related issue:
Almost every time a turn is finished and I regain control, the LEDs blink 2 times.

On my G19 it turns from red backlight to blue. Always on affinity and research.

Started early game with a flash, where I was focused on the screen and wondered about it, because I hadn't seen it properly. Happened again a bit later, more visible and now, when I gain a free tech or free affinity... well... There goes my cylon red and it becomes purple-ish blue.

Does not affect my G600 mouse. That one keeps glowing red.

Also have Logitech G710+ and Logitech Proteus Spectrum mouse. Both blink on and off at full brightness alternating 2 seconds on, 2 seconds off. It won't stop. This is not desired. Only happening with this game.
