that anti-virus is not that good. In fact you should not be using it with a Steam game at all.

Yes, do the disinfect, and carry on.

It'll take a few minutes, and you'll have to restart your computer.

its a false positive

Turn off your heuristics

Yes, had this too. Apparently it's considering the SRS library of the Miles sound system as malware. Nothing you can do about it since it's hellbent on disinfection. I let it to do its thing, set the application on exception list and let Steam reaquire the file after a validating the file cache. Mindboggling.

That works too of course. I usually let it on because it rarely misfires for me. This is one of those times.

Apparently Firaxis used some code that could also be used in Malware. Which is common practice. Kaspersky will most likely whitelist it soon enough.
Turning it off may however cause you more trouble than it's worth if you end up catching some real malware instead.

You can get around it just fine although it's fairly annoying to deal with first. Just accept its disinfection request, meanwhile put the game on exception list manually, let it reboot after it's done and validate the game cache. It will reaquire anything that's missing.

I have Endpoint Security 10(the professional version of Kaspersky) and get no such message.

It's very likely a false positive, Home AV like those because then the software looks more effective to users.

Add an exception, verify cache in Steam.
