Unable to issue commands to units other then move
Just curious as to rather or not anyone else was experiencing this particular game breaking annoyance. I'm trying a clean install of the game, but as of now, I can't play it.

I thought it was mods, but I was still getting the same issue. I can only move units, but I can't issue commands such as autoexplore, build, etc.

Haven't tried keyboard shortcut orders, mind you, but this is something I feel should at least be mentioned.

Can you post a screenshot of the commands of an unit where you are missing them?

I have had it happen where all the commands are missing in the UI when a unit is selected, was happening on most of the mods for units but I have had it happem when loading a saved game as well, so far it is very random for me for the most part

When you reinstalled the game, did you delete the beyond earth file in your documents folder? If you didn't it's likely that files that a poorly made mod changed (ie whatever is causing the bug) is still being loaded when you reinstalled.

Otherwise I've not seen this issue with any units. And I used nearly a dozen mods now, without mods the game is lifeless.

Never heard of that happen without mods, but many mods will cause that issue. Edited promotions, edited tile improvements, etc. Solution is simple: After starting the game, return to the main menu and start a new game (or load the old game) and it will work for the rest of the session.

I haven't gotten around to redownloading yet, but I have deleted the old subfolders and what not. I'll try redownloading sometime soon and post my experiences again.

There is a workarond for this problem as it's a known bug with soem mods. It's a pain, but it works. What you do is, click on the mods tab and accept as usual but then instead of clicking continue, click escape. It will bring you BACK to the initial mods screen. from there load and launch as usual. Your units should be able to get their ordres. I imagine it'll fix it even if you don't actually have mods installed. yeah we need a patch badly don't we lol.
