Not 32-bit friendly?
My specs:
Pentium E6600 @ 3.06 GHz
R9 280 Dual-X 3GB (possibly Factory-OC'd)
2x2GB DDR3-1066 Memory
Windows 7 32-bit

I'm crashing as soon as I try to get in-game, and I'm not sure why considering this is an AMD-based title. Is anyone able to play on a 32-bit system, or am I out of luck until I upgrade?

It's a 32-bit executable, so it ought to work. If you share your dxdiag (preferably via pastebin), I'll see if I can spot anything to try.

It doesn't change the fact that I'm somewhat doubting 3.5GB of usable RAM will be good enough, as most games these days are meant for the full 4GB. I'm thinking I may need to hack the kernel to play this. Oh, well.

Or you know... Just re-install your Windows (for free - and legal) in 64bit?

Unless of course you are incredibly dependant on being able to run 16bit applications natively.

This computer was a prebuilt. I don't have a product key or disc, and everyone I've asked has told me I'd need to re-purchase Windows entirely. Also, some people have told me it doesn't work on some motherboards. Is there a way I can do this on a Pentium E6600 and a Lenovo motherboard with Q45?

You DO have a product key - It's easy to extract using any number of third party tools. You can also download a disc completely legally.

As for the motherboard - Depends on the model and make. A few rare motherboards are locked, which takes a bit of fiddling to unlock, but there's never a "It can't be done" point. :)

Good to hear! I'll probably buy a WD Blue first, though, and keep my current 500GB drive as a backup. So, what kind of third-party tools are we talking about?

Here's an article from PCWorld on the topic... Not sure why the video in the top right corner is autoplaying, but don't be alarmed if you suddenly hear sounds. >_>
