Audio issues
As of a few days ago my game has been having repeated audio issues, when the game first loads there is no main menu music, and sometimes the sound when pressing buttons does not work either, when in-game the sound occasionally cuts out for a second or two every minute or so. Re-installing the game did nothing.

I've looked around on the internet and found nothing useful so I came here to ask for possible advice, which would be much appreciated.

Is this for vanilla BE or RT? After the spoils of war RT patch my game didn't play the loading screen music until I verified the cache. As far as I can tell it's been working fine since.

RT, it seems to be working fine now dispite the fact I changed nothing since my last failed attempt at solving it...

Same, still hunting the culprit. Kinda hoped RSS was interfering but it wasn't :(
I'm noticing this now too. Audio just cuts off for a second here or there. Really annoying. Issue must be related to the expansion as I've never encountered it in 100+ hours with the base game.

I have the same issue with the base BE game (no dlc), on 2 computers, both of which play Civ 5 just fine

bump - just bought RT, played for a few days alright, today started the audio cutting, very annoying. Edit: verified the cache, now sound doesn't work at all for both vanilla and RT.

Ok. found a fix:
Delete all the .ini files in \Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization Beyond Earth
and it will work.

I didn't had this problem for years and now, after several Steam Client Updates, I'm having it. I fix it by erasing the INI files but it only lasts until Steam is closed and then openned again.
