Artifacts
I really like the new Artefact feature making the game much more interesting. But unfortunately I experienced that artefacts are only given in the beginning of the course of the game. After a while, probably after finding a certain amount of artefacts in any given category you never ever get any more artefacts of this category. There seems to me a cap of how many artefacts you are allowed to find in the whole game and after reaching this cap it gets somehow boring, because you can find 100 pods or nests or whatever but the interesting artefact feature is gone from the game and you never find any more artefact. Very disappointing, since the artefact feature is one of the parts I liked most in rising tide. Is this a bug or intended? If intended I'd really appreciate if the devs could change this and allowing to find artefacts during the whole course of the game, not only in the beginning. And not only one artefact of each kind ever. Why not allowing to find another artefact of the same kind? Further since there are 72 different artefacts and 24 unique things you can discover after melting three of them, it means all artefacts will be used up. Meaning there is no point to use an artifact for the other purpose given in the game like melting only one or two for some dearly needed certain ressources in certain situations - thus rendering this great new feature useless, since nobody would do it, since this would prevent the player from ever making all unique artefact inventions for none of the artefacts can be found more than 1 of each type. And 24 by 3 makes 72 = exactly what you need, never any spare artefact to actually use the other great game feature of melting only one or two in some ressources. Thus I suggest to delete the artefact cap thus allowing us to find artefacts not only after starting the game and finding more than one of each kind. Hence we could use all great new artefact features without sacrificing the chance for ever making any unique artefact invention.

Yea, i find the lack of artefacts in late game to be very boring as well. I wish they had a more integrated feature of map interaction throughout the entire game instead of the Civ 5 mechanic of nests/ruins being the initial game surge then disappear forever.

You still got something from crashed satelights and destroyed settlements / stations.

later in civ 5 you have archeology and get artifacts from former ruin places!

Depends where in the English-speaking world you learned English. Put the 'i' spelling into a British spellcheck and it will tell you it's wrong. Some systems will even automatically correct it to the 'e' spelling.

It seems to be very streaky. Sometimes you find like 10 in a row, sometimes you don't find any for a long time. I don't think the stage of the game or the number you have found plays any role in it. It's certainly not a "1 of each kind" limit as on my like 10th game I am still finding ones I've never seen before, there are a lot of them.

The only source that dries up is the progenerator (I know I spelled that wrong) ones. You can continue getting human and alien ones throughout the game. Human artifacts you can get from destroying stations and exploring the ruins, also as random quest rewards. Alien artifacts you can get from nests which constantly respawn, or from killing worms and exploring their remains.

I thought Artifact was the old stuff in the ground and artefact was when your screen was wonky. Like disk and disc.

It's all 'e' in British English, except where people have picked up Americanised spellings.

Exactly! The game always engaged you with map activities throughout even to the endgame. Right now, the map tile interaction ends right after you find X number of artifacts and then the entire world becomes rather boring. Its just a plain rush to the 1 of 3 objectives. They really keep missing the point of the progenitor/alien hive ruins potential. The whole point is to explore an alien world WHILE you are expanding your settlements. What you find and discover defines your new civilization on this world. Right now, its just like "meh, found some alien goo and I burned it for some energy. Whatevs!"
