BSoD because of "arusb_win7x.sys"
During the last years I almost never had any problems with games. Since WIN 7 I almost forgot the "Blus Screen of Death (BSoD").

Now I downloaded the DLC, installed it, started and after the loading screen I saw my
first WIN 10 BSoD.

The second start worked, but every now and then when I try to load a savegame it happens again, at a rate of estimated like 3 out of ten.

It's always the same crash message:

System Thread Exception.... arusb_win7x.sys

This "arusb" is a driver for a device called "atheros wireless LAN adapter" or the like, which I don't have respctively didn't find in my device manager's list.

It can't be a coincidence, that my PC suddenly behaves like that. I'm convinced, that the cause of this mess must be in the DLC.

Are there any known workarounds or a upcoming hotfix?

First of all, the bug is certainly in the driver, it should not crash and take the system with it.
Of course the game could do somethig to provoke the bug, but:

Its unlikely that the game is doing anything special to the driver, it most probably is using windows abstractions to be able to use all and any devices that connect to the internet, there isnt really any reason why it would make a special routine for that specific device.

The only special hardware games program for are the GPUs because effeciency is important and because there are only 2 different hardwares basically. AMD and Intel.

That's your USB wireless driver. SOunds like you upgraded from Win7 to Win10 and its still using the old driver. Thats likely the issue. Uninstall the driver. and reinstall the windows 10 version

But why does it only happen with this game and not with any other, like DA:I, PoE,
Wasteland 2, Galactic CIvs and so n?
