UI Scaling at 4K

Does anyone play this in 4K? I've had other strategy games give me issues at high resolution with UI scaling so small I can't see it. Trying to decide whether to upgrade to a 4K monitor and gauging by how many games I'll actually be able to play on it.

You can not klick on stuff unless you start the game using AMD Mantle. It sucks when you have NVIDIA.

Which problem? 4k scaling? No, it is still not possible to play properly in 4k, as the UI still does not scale. On a small monitor you won't be able to read anything, and on larger monitors, the UI will be squished into the corners, leading to huge traveling distances for the eyes and the mouse.

Actually i found a fix for this.

- Go to the steam install folder something like: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Sid Meier's Civilization Beyond Earth

Right click the CivilizationBE_DX11 or CivilizationBE_Mantle file and go to propperties

Then go to the compatibility tap and sellect Override high DPI scaling behavior. Scaling performed by: then sellect system and press apply.

This fixed it for me but i have windows scaling on 200%

I don't mean to necro an old thread but this is the only thing I could find that isn't just changing font size, which is just dumb with all the overflow. How did you get this to work? When I select override high DPI and follow your instructions, the game becomes so big that it displays only the top-left 25%, like I'm zoomed in.

Not only is it ridiculous to have to resort to a fix like this, but it doesn't work for everyone.

This is still Google's first result for the topic, so I thought I'd add this hint: if you have the add-on Rising Tide installed, the path to the configuration file differs from what's described in the reddit post. For me, it's C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Sid Meier's Civilization Beyond Earth\assets\DLC\Expansion1\UI\Styles.xml.

It works for me, but it has to be in windowed mode.
