does anybody have a fix for this issue. I don't remember it happening when i initially played the game, but went back to it and it is driving me crazy.

I don't know it that will help you much, but you can try to change some settings in the advanced sound configuration of Windows 10.

It's not windows 10 doing it as it runs flawlessly for me in win 10x64.
Sounds like an audio driver issue (possibly). More than likely you have built in audio on your motherboard you are using I'd check your audio drivers...however I have heard of Video Card drivers (nVidia) causing some audio issues at times...not much to go on I know but I still hope that helps you figure it out some.

I think i figured it out.... but it doesnt really fix the problem. For some reason if I disconnect the cat5 from my computer (making it offline) the stutter goes away. So for some reason this game has an issue only when it is online.

I tried powercycling my router and modem, and so far it has been better... but wtf does this game send over the internet that causes the audio to stop?

Nothing. I play offline all the time. Go figure. That is a strange issue.

Could it probably be a malicious software, that infected your system over the audio driver, and now opens connections to the internet? I don't know. It's just an idea.

I thought it might be malware that i missed in an MBAM so after a night of frusteration I just reset my Windows and deleted everything (and am in the process of reinstalling everything) but it still persisted.

Again it is weird because it only happens when I am connected to the internet, if i disable the router so i have no connection it works just fine (albeit gives me a message from the game saying it is not connected <even though i don't sign into 2k login>... so i don't know what the game sends over the internet....but whatever it gives/recieves at startup causes problems....)

I also got a response from 2k support about it, but it was just sending me towards re-instlaling directx and whatnot....so, confusing to say the least
