Very Underrated Game IMO
Just now getting into this game, really wished it was still being supported and there were additional DLC being planned. I like this game much better than any of the traditional civilization games.

I'ts only for a first look. (mostly because game-back-story was made... good. text-quest\civilopedia etc)

But soon you will find a... dark side :) :
- Bad ballance (few lucky expedition\quest can brin victory to you (or to yours opponents)).
- circle technology tree (wait... circle - it's not a tree... ok let say circle technology... dart-target!:)) - works bad. Same - bad ballance for victory you must focus on perfections (so... a big part of a tree.. i mean dart-target - are useless).
- 90% of all wonders - useless.
- diplomacy was bad in original CiV-BE and was killed in DLC (in DLC it's just few % to... somethin).
- engine - totaly same like in civ 5. I mean TOTALY even few old small bug still here. They just change skin. It's DLC lvl (better say - fan-DLC-lvl). For a big company - it's not a work... at all.

etc...etc...etc...

So... lets hope what they... come to their senses with civ 6 (first clips looks promising... But after civ BE im.... scared, so i will be very... cautious with buying).

There is no official word either way as to whether there's more DLC planned.

Would love to see another similar in scale and scope to Rising Tide.

Well, given that Civ VI was already being produces at the same time as Rising Tide was in development they seem to have the manpower needed to create both.

The main question is probably whether they can expect good enough sales to justify the work, because aside from the few thousand players that are playing the game regularely the community is pretty dead.

Civ VI will only grab more players and it seems like that game has some really impressive improvements over its predecessors, leaving only the Theme as a real bonus for BE.

Beyond Earth kind of lost its touch for me. I barely play it because there's just too little to do in the game. Too few sponsors, the cultural aspect is lackluster, science is interesting but ultimately still limits you because some parts of the web are worth it more than others, the affinities don't offer much a gameplay change, EVERY SINGLE SPONSOR SEEMS TO ADORE MAN-EATING ALIENS...

And the list goes on. The game is rated quite fairly. If they had given it more time and polish, I'm sure the community would be a pinch larger.

EVERY SINGLE SPONSOR SEEMS TO ADORE MAN-EATING ALIENS...totally agree on this, I've taken a lot of heat from the AI on attacking the aliens, they are all from the PC crowd or something.

I love the game, being into space colonisation and travel I find it really interesting. The futuristic theme inherent in such a game is also great.

Played and finished it 4 times on 4 difficulties, 4 different ways, very hard being last. Going for final difficulty now.

I'm assuming you don't have Rising Tides. A lot of the isues I se people talking about are non-existent with the expansion, which fixes a lot.

I just bought it, can't wait to see what's it like...

If you liked the base game you'll probably enjoy it very much (except for maybe the changes to diplomacy).

I hate what Rising Tide did to affinity. It's easy to get maxed out in everything. It's absurd. The game is also dead. It could have been good, but Firaxis is just turning into a bad comapny.
