That's an interesting question. The requirements specifically say DX11, but also say HD 3000, which only supports DX10. So I don't know...
Edit: And Vista is listed as supported, but DX11 requires Windows 7.
Edit: Also confirmed a Civilopedia-type feature will be used.

I read on the civfanatics it still only crappy 32 bit, but that thread was 3rd party info.

Google has more ofc. So Civ 5 do no maths?
And there's plenty of maths in Civ5 - but not a lot high-precision. Not sure there's any, actually. No need for double-precision floating point very often, never mind more, and no integer maths with really ridiculously huge numbers.
All Civ5 would gain, really, is the ability to access more memory.
