Beyond Earth Crashing on Startup

Hey all, reinstalled Beyond Earth for the first time since around it's release and was greeted by two options on launching the game: "Launch Sid Meier's Civilization Beyond Earth" and "Launch Sid Meier's Civilization Beyond Earth AMD Mantle", as I don't have an AMD processor, I clicked the former. After the 2K and Firaxis logos appears, the game crashed to desktop. Neither restarting the game, nor verifying the game files fixed this issue.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Was having the same problem launching today. I ran a "Verify Integrity of game files" process and that fixed my issue.

I have the same problem. What I have learned is that I have to "Verify Integrity of game files". It fixed two files. Then the game starts normal. BUT - I have to repeat this process everytime before I start the game. Because this fix works only once. Then you have to repeat it again. It fixed these two files every time again.

The link that two of you posted worked for me as well.

Another strange issue (All be it a fixable one) I am having is that for some reason the game runs at a shockingly low frame rate unless I go into options, click another option besides 1080p 60Hz, then reselect 1080p 60Hz and hit except. This happens every time I launch the game.

Anyone else having this issue as well.
