Starting with a demon overlord

Perhaps this is a bit rare, I started my game as a servant of my demon overlord, who constantly gives you free demons.

Now the problem was, this was my first playthrough and it was very... uneventful and chalengless. Even though I turned my kingdom into a slave kingdom and later into a demon kingdom (for RP), nothing ever threatened my reign. Every fight was also super easy with OP demons, which completely demolish everyone. After playing for four hours, I gave up because the last two hours was just mindless attacking of everybody every turn.

So was I missing something or does this plot line need rework?

It definitely needs a rework, I think a lot more demon specific stuff needs to happen as well as perhaps some internal resistance to your demonic reign

Ok, thanks for the quick reply.
Yeah, the only resistance I got was when all my soldiers started deserting me when the opinion of me was around -100. By the end of the game I got to around 50, so that ceased to be a problem.

I will have a second try at the game, I hope it will be more challenging this time!

No worries, I've always had a hard time managing difficulty, make bandit raids ruthless and require attention and people ignore the bandits and get rekt each turn and claim the game is unplayable, weaken bandit raids so that if you don't pay attention it doesn't change things much and the game is too easy!



What does it all mean!

But yeah, I haven't tested the demon servant setup much but I was under the impression it would be harder given that the world turns against you, I'll definitely investigate
