Waiter job

So I'm just a little confused. The job posting thing says prior experience in catering is required, so I figured working restaurant based jobs like the dish washing and such would work towards that. Working all of those jobs doesn't seem to make it available though, even working them several times like I thought you would need to.

Anybody got any tips? Obviously it's hardly game breaking but it would be nice to know

Sometimes there's a catering job that shows up that gives you the experience you need to be a waiter.

I have encountered the situation you mentioned too.

i think i had one that said prior experience in catering or warehouse....which now that i think about it is a weird combo - but i'm pretty sure it did

If you do enough warehouse work, you get promoted to warehouse manager and you end up having the experience for being a waiter because you have management experience.
