Endings Question?

How do you get the "Mediocre Monkey" Ending?
I played through solving every cage and meeting every milestone, but I refused to answer or look at the club emails, and instead I got the enlightened monkey since I did all the cages good.

(Anytime you answer a club email, it's a negative action and causes your plant to wilt)

Also, can you double dip on some cages?
For instance, The old lady. Can you both answer the email AND call the IRS? Like answering the question after you call the IRS?
The Typists Pool. Can you record the boss yelling at them AND offer them a better job? Like offer the job first so they walk out, then sell the berating boss video?

I've already seen the other two endings.
The first time I got enlightened, I answered every email and tried to complete every cage with a good ending.
The 2nd time I got obedient monkey by answering every email and going evil with all the cages.
Final time, as I said above I ignored the emails but went perfectly good with all the cages and still got enlightened.

Disclaimer: it's been quite a while since I last played so my memory is very fuzzy on the details.

I'd double check whether all club emails are negative actions. Some of them are, that's for sure, but I'm not 100% sure they all are.

Unless I'm mistake, those that are negative disable the cage once you answer them. Any action that "resolves" a cage turns it "pending" and you can't do anything else with it. So in most cases, you couldn't double dip. But I think sending videos may be an option in some cases.

It's been very unclear what requirements are needed to obtain this ending. You might want to mess up a lot? Like... give the wrong answers to emails, "accidentally" get bad resolutions for cages and the like? I can't remember what I did for mine.

You might be right, it's usually the cages that is closes.
Old Lady - Gets Robbed
Protester - Gets Killed
Betting - Gets Robbed (Only answer?)

While the other two I can think of the Fields, shouldn't be evil.

No, you can't double dip.

The old lady has more endings: you can call her and confront her and she'll disable the cam but your bosses won't be happy as you shouldn't have fed her. Another ending is she goes into a coma. To do this lie about the time and specify one when she is at home. The thief will come, she will surprise him and he'll beat her into a coma then rob her.

The betting store either has the neutral ending (you don't do anything), the active ending (you bet until all recent activity gets the attention of authorities and they suspend betting) and the passive ending (where the place is robbed by your employer or third parties associated with your employer).

Some questions (such as getting the address of the old man or the wildlife reservation) are neutral, but any mail that causes an intervention on your employer's behalf (or a third party) seems to be negative.

To become Mediocre I think you need to make mistakes (especially in mail reports).
