Stutters
I get 60 FPS ingame but the game still stutters. Its not related to the FPS. How do i fix this? Its mainly when going around corners etc

If you use Nvidia GPU, open the NVCP and under Manage 3D settings>Program Settings choose V-Rally 4 (vrally4.exe) and set Max Frame Rate to 60 FPS, Power Management Mode to Prefer maximum performance and Vertical sync to Off. Ingame also disable V-sync.

Ok i have done all these steps. Seems like the stutters are gone. But I do have screen tearing now. Is there a way to not get the stutters but still use Vsync?

I’m not sure, you can try adaptive or fast sync and see if it works for you. I have a g-sync screen so no tearing here.

But is the stuttering related to vsync? will it be back if i turn on vsync ingame?

I believe so, yes. From my experience, stutters like this are almost always caused by a bad v-sync implementation.

Thank you so much for this! Im new to gaming on PC. I bought myself a laptop and its ran everything I have thrown at it so far apart from this game! I was getting 30FPS in the menus which then dropped to 15fps when racing. It was unplayable. I am now getting a stable 60FPS on ultra settings.

Thanks you!

Sure it does! G-sync is not game-dependend. If you have the GPU and the screen to run your games with Gsync, you can run your games with G-sync.

Next time, please look stuff up, before you take part in encouraging misinformation.

GTX1070 (1x) and i7 7700k (stock), Game is on WD Black HDD. I also had the stuttering and performance problems. Got rid off them by: Ingame Vsync off, Nvidia Panel Vsync on, Max FPS off, restarted the Game. Runs smooth 60FPS in 1440p with all graphical settings on max now.

I do not have nvidia but amd, i had stutters on some games, on the radeon software i desactivated everything i could, now it runs like a charm on ultra 1080p. Maybe try to desactivate all options on the nvidia software. Some games seems to not be able to handle it, even portal 2 lagged with the options on (i have a rx590 8gb + ryzen 5 2600, it should be waaaay enough)

Late to the party.

Solved the stutter by setting hard 60hz in Windows, Vsync on in Nvidia control panel, Vsync on ingame, borderless window. Preferred 75 fps but there's that. Good luck.
