A simple solution

There's a simple solution to Alpha-Next's problem of wanting Summer Vacation to be released as a family title, and customers who want the R18 content: Release 2 versions on Steam. Summer Vacation can stay as it is, so it can be available for sale to everyone, and say, "Summer Vacation: Super Hot Summer Edition" could be released on a separate store page with the Adult Content banner, with all the R18 content included or available to download elsewhere. Customers can choose whatever version they want.

If Super Hot Edition gets region locked, vanilla Summer Vacation can still be sold there.

Alpha-Next gets revenue from both pots instead of having to choose one or the other.
Customers get what they wishlisted for. Everybody wins.

LOL Nice try !! They said nicely again, it's not gonna happen ! For me, as a game and not a H scenes simulator, it is too basic and not immersive enough. I will not buy it as a game without patch 18+. Refund !

Same, no R18 patch no purchase.

Adding content to an adult game, whether through an update or a dlc, is not impossible, there are R18 games on steam that have updates.

They may very well save the game, but they would rather do nothing.

The better solution is just provide R18 patch? Its not like this is the first game stumbling to do it. Heck, VR Kanojo, the version on Steam is an all-age version but somehow puritans got it banned in some countries despite having no pornography.

Besides, Steam would be against this idea, you cannot release two builts of the same game.

PS. when I said banned in some countries I only mean Germany ! LOL

Both Agony and Agony Unrated are for sale here, using exactly this model, so it can be done.

Have you checked recently? Apparently Steam didn't like having two version so they removed it. Developers made a free DLC to remedy the issue.

Yep, just checked and both Agony and Agony Unrated are still for sale, at least here in the U.S.

No, its not blocked for me. But it seems it got nuked from people's accounts.
