Report a translation problem
A lot of Chinese accounts with low playtime on the game have started review-bombing this game and Second Light because of the relatively recent announcement (12th November I believe) that Blue Reflection Sun (upcoming mobile game with DMM) will feature a male protagonist - something that departs from the "yuri" and "girls-only" that the series has thus far been built upon and that fans of the genre expect.
That's the primary and simplified explanation, there are more negatives regarding Sun but that's the one that directly resulted in the review bombings
You can see this for yourself if you filter the recent reviews to negative and exclude the "Your Languages Only" filter and take a look at the posts through translate or whatever.
I'll note that among these reviews, there are a small handful that are legitimate negative reviews of the game that are unrelated to the issues with Sun.
As much as the review bombing of these game is somewhat stupid, these people are actualy right, cose they don't want another trash generic harem like the hundred that are released each year.
Even more when you know how much mobile game hurt any ip they are made from. If they start by changing the very basic of the ip to please those idiot that spend thousand of $ in mobile game, then nothing tell us they wont change the future main game like MANY other dev did after making a cashgrap mobile game.
I can only agree. While review bombing is not really the way to go, there is sadly no other instrument available to the "common" user to express the dislike they feel. As said, I do not approve, but at the same time I have to admit it's the only effective way.
And yes - I am really afraid that this franchise will turn into a "male protagonist wet harem dream" type of game. There is already such little amount of titles available that are Yuri only, that it really would hurt if this one would be destroyed in that way too.
Like every other Isekai style anime/game that has relationship plots / side quests. I hadn't seen any of the trailers etc; just finished the game just now while streaming on twitch.
Anyways, what's so bad about male protagonists being main characters?
It may not be a harem after all. who knows.
It is a harem, the game's director literaly stated that he would be able to have a relationship with all the girls. He will also be the center of the story, nearly everything will revolve around him.
Actualy, the game's director also said that he had no intention of changing anything even throught nearly all the fan are agaisnt seeing the girls put in the same position as the girls from game like Asur Lane or FGO.
Blue Reflection are Yuri game, so it's obvious the fanbase don't want it to be turned into another generic shonen isekai harem with a bland unintresting character whose only reson to exist is for some whale to indentity themself to.
Even people who are fan of isekai and romcom are burnout because of these generic bland harem MC...
Essentially suggesting review bombers have not played the game.
Not supporting the switch to harem genre but there are more sensible ways to raise the issue, and fake complaints are not going to achieve anything.
Not to lower the point you have. I also do not like this review bombing. At the other hand, what sensible ways do you suggest people can use to out their dislike of the situation in such a way that it really "hits home" with the publisher/developer? We gamers do not have much power to do anything, except... Well....
Like it or not - These kind of review bombings have an effect on the sales of the games. And because money is a strong motivator for this kind of company's, it sends a strong message.
If it will make any difference is another story. I think it's too late to save the Yuri component in that mobile male harem cash-grab garbage. The only thing we can hope for, is that this franchise is not completely destroyed by those greedy bastards, and that they learned the valuable lesson to never, ever, put a male protagonist in a Yuri type of game...
Voicing our concern have literaly no impact.
So i'm realy interested what way you think we can use beside hurting their sell.

If you use any of the above, you'd probably feel like, yea they don't listen, cause they are not going to answer. However they have to listen *enough* to stay in business. Not answering anyone's personal request is just saving time, and is normal.
If you put yourself in the publisher/creator's shoes, they are also never going to give an impression that they just do whatever players tell them to, because if so their job will become a hell.
Sometimes we feel strongly about a problem, but this does not prove that many players do. Many players can't tell an anime game from another, so probably they don't get the difference between Yuri and Harem genre; then the players are the problem.
That said I am pretty sure Gust/Koei noticed the review bombing here. But still does not explain how bombs come from people with almost no play time.
Publisher don't listen to this, many western comunity try regulary to apeal to publisher when they see that a game was butchered by a bunch of twitter mob localizator. And it is extremely rare for a game to recieve a update to have the translation redone.
The only reaction they had after the extremely poor reaction form the fan of Blue Reflection around the world was to make the game's director to talk about how the game would be.
And in the end all he said was lie, literaly. He said that the mobile game was like the previous one and the male character would not have any romance with any of the other character.
Guess what? the game is a generic harem trash, literaly ALL the girls spend their time stuck to the MC acting like generic female character from the most basic harem shonen there is.
The gameplay also is extremely basic. In the end the only things the game have it the artist that make the CG...
But seriously, I don't get it. How is Blue Reflection's fault that another game of the same franchise have a feature they dislike? It's like saying a street's paviment needs repair... announcing it on a completely different street.
