multiplayer?

would be pretty cool to have multiplayer game modes for this, openTTD sure isn't getting any less dated and ugly.

I don't have any immediate plans to add multiplayer, at least not while the core parts of the game still need work.

totally understand that, i do think it's a pretty "how could you not?" feature though, for someday. :)

I was going to ask this, I agree, I think this would be really cool to have later on after the game is near finish or finished.

or it could just be a "friends lobby" type of multiplayer. Like your friends obviously need to also own the game but instead of making it pure multiplayer, make it an online steam friend only multiplayer if that's a thing.

Yeah that is a thing, Astroneer has a system like that.

Even though you could argue that people on your friends list might not be that creative and multiplayer could possibly bring a bunch of different people together. Thats why we have forums, to help creative people come together and put each other on your friends list.

I know this is an old discussion, but this would be a great feature for parents to play with their kids. My son is starting to learn gaming on the computer and loves building these tracks in real life, this would be a lot of fun to build a track with him in the game.

Thanks for the nostalgia trip, time flies, I am really trying to remember this, it's very faint. A lot has changed since then(in my life), ah if I could go back to being a kid again, well teenager, but still. Thanks again for the memory lane!
