Multiplayer not working properly

so my friend cant never join my servers and I cant join his, it always says "Server not found" or just throws me into random server I didnt choose. Only way we are able to play together is to join to somebodys random server but sometimes that doesnt work and it throws us to different servers without any reason... I was hoping if there is fix for that?

Make a lobby on a game mode, and turn on private, Then give it a name and confirm it.
Have your friend click Join Game after selecting the same game mode you chose, and then turn off Random. And then have them enter the name of your lobby. They should join from then on.
