Arma 2: Private Military Company

PMC is showing as (lite)
I downloaded Arma 2, and the DLC BAF, OA, PMC and my PMC is showing (lite), i looked around and found info about running each DLC and then the game so i tried that and it still isn't giving me the full PMC DLC

Id say try run steam as admin, this may resolve your issue.

I got the same issue, tried downloading everything again and it did not help. I do not see how running steam as admin is related to this...

I found, that for some wierd reason, the PMC addon was downloaded and installed in the folder "D://ARMA 2/PMC" instead of the standard "D://Steam/SteamApps/common/Arma 2 OA". I just cut+pasted the folder from the wrong directory, put it in the correct one and it worked. So, just take a look if the same did not happen to you...

the datacachepreprocessor.exe seems to be broken...
or at least not working with Win7 64bit

so a fix would be nice ...

Actually, running steam as administrator and reinstalling the addons did the trick for me. At first I tryed running without privileges and typeing the admin password when promped, but i got the poblem that you described.

Afted tying this method, I still got an error, which prevented Arma:OA from running both PMC and BAF. I just tryed executing both of them separately from steam library. Some sort of install window showed, saying that it was compying the expansion from one location to another. After this, Arma:OA would launch automatically. The first time I did it I got the error again, but only with one of the expansions (the one I hadn't yet executed separately).
After doing it with the second, everything was ok with the game an all of its expansions.

oh nice ill contact my friend and tell him about this! :)

this is just super annoying for those whom dont know about this. issue. Have quite afew friends whom want to get this game to work and its just not doing it.

I am the one whom has difficulty installing this. It is my 3rd day i try to install the DLCs -_-
And its been maybe over 6 times now i try to get the DLCs to work.
