No he IS Samanosuke...It is explain in the end of the final Onimusha game..plus his profile picture is Takashi Kaneshiro, the guy who Samanosuke is model after...he just has grey hair....

he is not. His master was samanosuke, his english voice actor can be same but he said his master was lying in akechi tomb which is the grave of samanosuke

Make no mistake, Tenkai is definitely Samanosuke. He claimed that his master was lying in the Akechi tomb, but if he could lie about his identity, then he could basically say that as well.

he is not samanosuke it is just a plot flaw. Just because they used the original onimusha theme and when he appears on the screen and fights in the main CGI trailer does not mean he is samanosuke. Plus he did absorbed the nobunaga into his oni orb and got black oni power which is not seemed in tenkai. This means he is no Samanosuke

He is samonosuke at the end when jubei is talking she said when tenkai and arin were alone he kept calling her ako and she called him sa samo i forget and then she went on with what she was saying sooooo how about beat the game before making assumptions lol

I'm from the future to say: if the game suggests Tenkai is Samanosuke then Tenkai is Samanosuke, and there is nothing we can do about it, the 4th game is 15 years after Demon Siege, Samanosuke was not too old to be dead at his age, no matter what you believe my friend, if the game says, then accept it.
Plus: Capcom registered Onimusha trademarks few days ago, so let's pray.

The demon gaunlet makes you age slower. Samanosuke is probably almost 100. Also at the end Jubei says that Tenkai's real name is "Sama....something." By the way it doesn't matter because game is over 10 years old, and Capcom has forgotten about the series already.

Samanosuke's real name is Hidemitsu Akechi, he adopted this name after marrying Mitsuhide Akechi's daughter and then becoming his retainer, the general that gives Samanosuke his armor at the start of Oni 3 is Mitsuhide, who gives Samanosuke leadership on the attack of Honoji Temple, these are loosely based on real historical events.
The guy who is in the tomb in Oni 4 is Mitsuhide Akechi, who got killed by Hideyoshi (also based in real historical events)
