More translations
@DEVS
Please, can you move text strings to an external file (JSON, XML...) so that translator communities can edit it add their own unofficial language support (GER, ITA, FRE, SPA...)?

Alright, good suggestion.
Uploaded the tweak on Ver 1.14g
strings now moved to txt files.

I did test to change the English strings file and it does work.
It might sometime not working properly though, especially for those language that require special character, since the font currently only generated according to string input when it was build.

WOW! That was fast! =:D
Yep, UTF8 support would be great, for example in Italian we use ÀÈÌÒÙ, àèìòù, ÁÉÍÓÚ, áéíóú special chars...

Ok, tried with Italian and a few chars (capital accented letters) are missing:

I saved the text file as UTF-8-BOM

BTW, would be possible to edit also the country flag (language) editing flags texture? Where is the file?

Added Italian missing chars:

... and changed EN flag from "\assets\resource\ui\setterGUI.png"

Thank you very much for letting us implement other languages.
Now working on complete translation... I will release a Steam Guide with attached Ita translation files once completed.

Mmmh, something strange happens in-game: try to start a new game. Intro uses wrong strings... they seem shifted one line in the text files...
This happens also for untouched language files. Some error probably occurred during the strings extraction to generate the "textual-<lang>.txt" files...

I'm also in doubt for some special (?) tags like [Setting]: will these be replaced with an icon sprite? Do I need to translate them (I've found them translated for the other languages)? Including:
[Hammer]
[Floor]
[Rhombus Gem]
[Finder Tablet]
[Rainbow Fragment]
[Coin Magnet]
[Rescue Halo]
[Green Heart]
[Elixir]
[Shining Shield]
[Fresh]
[Break Dash]
[Up Dash]
[Dopple Dash]
[Invi Dash]
[Rainbow Crystal]

Ok, I think I've found the issue: the delimiter special char ">" must be inline:
Current status (example from original textual-en.txt):
... unlocked Warp > Start the game with all items Welcome! You can also use mouse for [Setting] ...
...but when I fix it as:
... unlocked Warp >Start the game with all items Welcome! You can also use mouse for [Setting] ...
for every instance of ">", everything will work fine again for every language file!

Here is the Italian translation for the Steam shop page of your game: https://pastebin.com/dJ3475Td

P.S.
If you give me the text I could translate also Steam Achievements...

Ooops, I didn't realize that at all... That was fatal.. OTL
Fixed it on 1.14h. Thanks.
I tested it and your translation still work even if you set the ">" in line.

For achievements, I did not add any other translation other than English.
Also, since it's unofficial, I would not update the Steam Shop descriptions.

I might add it as official later on. Is that okay?
I'm still not sure when. Will contact you once again if it's really going to be included.
Thanks again btw.

All right. Just drop me a line if you want to add it as official, it would a pleasure for me.
Thank you again for support! 😽

Congrats on getting your translation to become official! I don't know any Italian, though I decided to check it out regardless.
However, there are some instances where the text overflows past the window due to the dialogue being too long. It appears each piece of dialogue should not go over 39/40 characters if you don't want the text at the end popping into the window before the scrolling at the start is done.
The "Azzera davvero" text on the save files also overflows a tiny bit, though that might be nitpicking. Does "azzera" mean "reset"? What about "Finale Vero"? I'm using Google Translate, please understand :winter2019joyfultearssnowman:
Some level names appear to be a bit long too, like 2-9, 6-3 and maybe 5-8. Is "risorgente" a good word for 6-3's name?

Thank you, but I see Russian and Brazilian also exceeded 40 chars in the dialogues...

How do I test "Azzera davvero"? For saving files I see only Delete/Copy options. No "Finale Vero" would mean a completely different thing (literally "Real ending"). Did I misunderstand their context?
A new translation based on BR/RU different meaning could be:
24 Tempo Finale
25 Completato
26 Completato tutto (=All clear, 16 chars, Russian reaches 18 chars)

What's max length for Locations/Level names? Russian reaches 27 chars...

There are two endings, and the "Azzera davvero" text appears in the file select screen under the cat's picture, explaining which of the two endings you got (in English that's either "Clear" for the normal ending or "True Clear" for the true ending).
Sometimes translations have to adapt a text instead of being literal translations. This is especially important when you have to account for character limitations.

The Russian translation has a feature that shrinks text if it's too long, I think, which I assume is missing from the Italian translation.

Line 33, "All of", refers to the mana potions you obtained in each level, so if the translation requires a gendered word it's important to keep that in mind.
Line 41, "unlocked", appears when you first clear a level, showing a clock icon with the "unlocked" text next to it, referring to the Time Trial being unlocked.
The developer has stated that MagiBee is the only female character.
MagiFox has no dialogue in English because the developer didn't know what onomatopoeia to put for it (fox sounds are written as "kon kon" in Japanese, but not in English), so if there is a fox onomatopoeia in Italian that opens up another possibility there.

I didn't count how many characters 5-8's name has in the Italian translation, but use that as an example, I imagine one or two characters less than that would look ideal (since it's just three levels, I think it won't be too difficult). But for text boxes I'm fairly sure it's 40 characters.

The word "risorgente" apparently means "resurging", which is similar enough to "respawning" to convey the same meaning. Something interesting about the game's level names is that they go to great lengths to not repeat any words (other than "1-2 Underground Pond" and the Secret Ponds scattered around the world). Doing the same for every language is a big challenge, but it could be a fun challenge!
