As of right now, it's hardly worth building anything but the top tier building. I still do it for now, but I know in the future I doubt I'll bother doing anything that doesn't affect the currect high-producing building's synergy. Which for me right now is waterlants, government, and air production.
Even when you DO get enough moolah to buy upgrades for old buildings that had an absurb high cost to unlock, it hardly does squat for the building, and nothing for others. So unless you have a TON of Banks, there is no reason to spend 45 QUADRILLION to upgrade real estate buildings to gain a whole 1.08x per. And if you have enough banks to even get real estate out of the 3-digit income bracket.... banks give 750,000,000,000 per. Why is this even a thing?
But... no. buildings are entirely for cash flow.
Heh, that is a pretty funny bug to accidentally leave in. I tend to build in only 10 building chunks, so I'm going to try out one at a time in one of my lesser developed planets and see if I have a much higher income than before.
Edit: No, don't really notice that I had more income from buying tons of buildings one by one than buying in bulk. Unless you are referring to building unlock reqs (such as build 10 X on 20 planets), I don't think that income calculation is lost when buying in groups of 10.
Looking forward to a game balance though. The numbers in late game are worse than F2P idle games income growth.
As they have connections with multiple buildings. Liquid Generators have ties with 4 other building, upgrading it can boost those other buildings (if you have them, and the upgrades that tie em together).
I would go with 10 of each building, as you get more money.
Well, it's always good to max out a building's upgrades and count if you can afford it. No reason not to buy out every mine/farm/real estate/etc up to the last building until the next purchase (or purchase of 10, as in my case) costs you more than, say 5 seconds of production.
Currently, I can get my planets to produce between 2 and 5 trillion m/s if I use this strat. The biggest increase in income is actually atmosphere plants, since they get a biggish bonus based on the number of liquid plants and gov offices.
EDIT: Ok, technically schools do more, but that is the case for almost every building beyond the best ones. Religious centers give 1/5 the income atmosphere plants, but schools give 8 times as much as atmospheres. Until you can afford a better building tier, it is of course good to buy out the one you CAN afford, and then boost it's production using the bonuses.
