Unable to connect to server (connection failed) Try again later. On dedicated server.

So I started my own server using all of the instructions they supplied, and tweaked them using some suggestions by others found in other discussions. Nothing seems to work. I can see the server on the list, it asks for my password, it starts to connect, then load, then it says "unloading" and dumps me back on to the main menu with the error in the title above. I really don't know what else to do... I run servers all the time for other games, and never had an issue connecting. Any one else have this issue?

Btw, I'm able to connect to other servers... so it has to be some setting or some other issue with running a dedicated server... idk.

I'm able to connect to my server through my local IP.... sounds like maybe there are some port issues? Does anyone know if they gave bad port forwarding info, or if there's a work around? I definitely have the ports opened.

did you portfoward to allow others (including yourself) to connect? i dont know the ports they use for this game, im sure its somewhere though

Yes. I did all of that. Oddly enough it works if I type the local IP in, but I cannot connect through the server browser. But my friend connected just fine (through the server browser), and I can connect through the local IP, so it works. It must be something weird with trying to connect to a server that is on your same network via any method other than local IP. Strange.
