it is. but people don't like to TALK about it cause they're jerks.. i've been trying to get my dedicated private server up and running for 1 day and 5 hours now... with no luck, it keeps not saving the game when i shutdown the server with a fresh world load. then when i let it try to load the save file it had somehow saved, it ends up sending me to a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dev test server called hatchery cause apparently the devs didn't bother to take out hatchery as their fallback map.... so i get that instead of America.. and i can't even load into america, but somehow i can load into hatchery but all it is is a black nothingness with a white sky, and clouds, and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ white circle in the sky and a white box in the sky... that's it. devs really need to work on their dedicated server or make a better dedicated server setup cause damn.

that guide is garbage.. it dosn't explain anything eccept how to set up the server. dosn't explain though that the server dosn't let you load into the game. not to mention that copying your entire folder of where the game is and then pasting it on your desktop just makes it take up MORE hardrive space that dosn't need to be taken up.

Hi, you need to copy the server.exe file to a new folder, and fill in the app id (in the guide) into the console when asked. This will then download the necessary server files from steam, about 20 gig or so.

You can then run server.exe in this folder to start the server properly.
