Fastest way to get charcoal ?

Im using the campfire to get it, but is there a better way ? Does the level of the fire influence the amount you get ?

black, i dont know about fastest, but all i do is put sticks in campfire when cooking and it makes by product of the charcoal. very few uses for them anyways ya know?

Sawmill and Kiln use them, u can use other things but it lasts longer so less "attention" needed to the smelting and sawing

sticks as fuel or just burn them like meat ?

farm wood and sticks and burn it to get charcoal..I usually farm wood for about an hour and just burn it up. Fat is the best resource for fuel

thats what I'm doing at the moment, so theres no better way to bad
