How to smelt iron?

I placed my kiln and upgraded it once. I placed a full stack of iron or in one slot, with fat as the fuel, but all I get is sulfur.

make sure you have atleast 1 empty spot for bars to be placed when completed, make sure you kiln/furnace is upgraded to max level. it takes 15 iron ore per 1 bar, best way to do it i found is..

4 stacks of 90 iron ore per furnace, stock it with whatever fuel you want and then add 1 and only 1 fat for maximum cost efficiency and the tempeture will be max.. cheaper

check back every 15 minutes and collect ur bars and sulphur and add more if desired.. sulphur is good way to regain some cash from smelting

you have to upgrade to lvl 3 (smelter)
