Control Issues

This might be because what I have is an off brand PC controller and not an Xbox one, but I'm having difficulty getting the controls to work for me. When I use the joystick to move, the slightest touch will send me dashing instead of the normal move functions. This makes navigating hard since I'm running full tilt through each area and running into things. This sends the camera going crazy trying to keep up even when I have the sensitivity way down. I have tried setting the move controls to the D pad instead, but Sophia will wave when I use it. I did get her to move, but she just scoots across the ground while waving.

Any ideas? I tried seeing if there were controller settings but they didn't leave me much to work with out of the box: I feel like the listing I purchased this controller from was misleading so it could just be I have a bad hardware. The reason I got it was because playing PC games with a laptop trackpad and keyboard just isn't comfortable.

you should be able to change joystick sensitivity within Steam. But yes, el-cheapo controllers do sometimes play up.

Thank you, I did manage to toggle it within Steam and it works a little better, I have a bit more control over how fast I go now though it's still acting up. I'll keep messing with the settings until I get something comfortable, thanks!
