Gothic 3 Forsaken Gods Enhanced Edition

Gothic 3 Forsaken Gods Enhanced Edition

what are the best patches to install??
Wondering, does this expansion change the gothic 3 game completely, or does it add more stuff to do in the G3 game?

What patches did you guys found best to play the game on a modern computer? I'm running windows 10 64x with a 2080ti

Forsaken Gods is a stand-alone game made by a different developer, it's non-canon and overall pretty bad. If you haven't started with Gothic 3 yet then just go with the base game.

Thanks for the response, but does forsaken gods have all the content from the base game plus new stuff, or does it have a completely different story?

Aren't there any patches or mods that can make it good?

Forsaken Gods doesn't has the content of Gothic 3, it only reuses a third of the map and has a different story. This is the last patch that was made for the game, not too sure about mods.

I really recommend rather to play Gothic I or II... Gothic III was the beginning of a downfall. The missing personality of NPCs, various plot holes, the overall sandboxy approach and therefore missing story... it all felt unfinished and raw. Gothic III has beautiful landscapes and music (NOT speaking of the annoying fight music that plays everytime ). But that's it. Gothic I or II however... just install a Dx11 Shader on it and maybe check out the L'Hiver Mod for Gothic II (it massively improves graphics)... awesome.

gothic 3 is playable to some extent, they had some good ideas in there. But the expansion forgotten gods should be buried and forgotten for all eternity, it's just insane levels of bad in every aspect.

No need to install anything, this game is perfect as it is.
