gothic 3 or gothic 3 enhanced?

Sup, i might play this but ive never played any gothic before, a friend recommended this to me because I loved Risen. Is there an actual game difference or is it just graphics?

Definitely go with regular Gothic 3. Forsaken Gods is a horrible non-canon sequel made by an Indian dev team under time constraints from the publisher. It's shorter, a buggy mess and reuses most if not all assets of G3.

sorry for the necro but anyone new to gothic should play Gothic I or II instead. Those were the games being successful (and rightfully so). For Gothic II there's a great mod, updating graphics and adding lots of details, just search for the L'hiver Mod. G3 has a really loose and lousy story, not to be compared with G I & II
