Erm...right...okay...:/
Question: Why on earth would you want a chain and additionally, what does that bring to the game?
It's an mx simulator and designed to recreate mx in the virtual world; having a 'chain' on brings nothing to the game...unless you are a part of those groups that get together and just mess around on a private server and wheelie all the time...
Sorry mate, but it doesn't make any sense.
Lastly, the only way i think you could 'add' a chain would be to have a 3d model replacing the protection option...but you'll have to ask around for that.
No I am not. Quite frankly i am surprised by your reaction. I understand it is. But i saw a guy wearing one on a video and thought it brought the gear together and looked cool. and the point of this discussion was to ASK around. So your reply doesn't sense in itself. And I thought it would be a skin replacement or paint for the protection and was asking to see if any one could provide a link to that. Chains are quite popular in the moto scene.
I'm sorry for being overly stern and protective of myself lmao.
P.S ♥♥♥♥ bikelife
I also do appreciate your time for replying :)
Can you post the link to the video, i am interested to see it; and more importantly, in what scenario is he wearing this 'chain'.
You say chains are 'popular' in the moto scene; In what sense are you referring because to be honest, i haven't seen any (personally) rider wearing a chain (or just not noticed)...
I watch MXGP and SX and enduro, and i ride in real life, but i haven't seen any chain or any discussions about them...
Then again, i'm from the UK and in my part of the world, jewellery isn't even talked about nor does anyone i know wear them...and like i've said, i haven't personally witnessed any professional riders wearing them; They obviously might, but i haven't seen any.
So, what you're saying is; You want to be able to ride in SP or Multiplayer with a chain on...???
If it's for yourself in a private lobby then fine, but it just makes no sense in standard multiplayer because the other people are more interested in playing the game than taking note of what 'jewellery' others are wearing.
Anyway, a link to the video would help ;)
When I mean video... i saw it in a photo so yes you have me there. But i can supply you with that photo
It is purely for myself though.
Also when I say its "popular in the moto scene" I mean it is popular in general especially for the die hard's here in Australia. I have seen lots of riders wearing chains in america as well. I ride enduro and im not some pretentious gnocchi who want's to wear a thick gold iced out chain, yet i want to have the option in my game to simulate being a try hard moto head. and personally it looks better.
Yet back to the point.
here is the link to the gear (which I own and the chain isn't apart of the jersey/gear set.) https://mxb-mods.com/christmas-jersey-christmas-gloves
and out of no where i found another photo of it. link is here: https://mxb-mods.com/christmas-theme-honda
The creator also replied and said he thinks its been removed :(
Right, thanks for the images (links) ;).
Well, it's not really a debatable issue really...it's more about personal preference i guess; I wasn't saying you can't or shouldn't have it, i was merely stating that it's a sim and i think the majority of 'sim' players wouldn't be looking at what people wear lol!...at least i'm not.
But that doesn't mean people can't; hell it's their game and they can do whatever they want ;).
Anyway, i've done a heap of mods for over 10yrs now and, by the looks of it from the images, it appears they have just made most of the protection transparent and placed a jewellery chain texture where it needs to go...
I haven't made any mods for mx bikes so i can't tell you how to do it; If i was making mods i could do it something like that very quickly i think.
All i can suggest is, go onto the official forums and request the mod; maybe there is someone that can help or may even have a mod already ;).
But yeah...i wasn't being intentionally nasty mate! ;)
No worries! I appreciate you replying and taking the time to give me some info. I'll keep on trying and see how we go, thanks again and stay safe!
