go to https://mxb-mods.com/ or https://www.mxbikes-shop.com/
1) download the mods on to your PC.
2) (depending on the files you're downloading.) Go to /Documents /PiBoSo /MxBikes /Mods
3) Drag and drop the files into where you need them to go. e.g a track mod will go into the track file, boots in to boots file, bikes or OEM in to the bikes file etc will go into the corresponding file in the Mxbikes file.
For mods like the HUD mod here is a you tube link which i followed for the install which you have to go in to the steam folder which is easy enough;
MAX HUD mod link - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5at672l-5F8
Video link for normal mods;
General mod link - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=51rK4-PAUww
Hope this helps you out took me a quick minute to figure it all out as new to PC gaming/ modding but its simple enough when you get the hand of it. also check out other you tube videos for mods and help etc i find them particularly helpful
my question was why have the youtuber better Gears and bike skins as me.
then i look at google and DING DONG mx-bikes.mods i find :)
great mod community for sure!
i agree it should be more userfriendly, but we have to deal with it.
if you think about it, mods are made by people like you and me, you cant really expect more help then the tutorials they already provide for the mostly free stuff, the just upload for the community to use and have fun with. big props to them.
they spend there free time on that stuff.
but i get it, confussing asf when you just start out, so let me explain.
the only thing you really need are the OEM bikes, thats it.
https://mxb-mods.com/oem-bike-pack#download
done, now you can join the lobbys with the default tracks.
(if there is a little star besides the track name, that means you dont have it)
then look for tracks you might like.
https://mxb-mods.com/tracks
good beginner tracks are farm 14, walnut, paleta v2, if you have these you can join 90% of lobbys.
now go race
Documents/Piboso/MXBikes/mods/Bikes: for the all the OEM Bike files.
Try that, if you can't find Documents/Piboso/MXBikes/mods folder then try just typing in 'piboso' in your windows search bar.
thanks every much
