It appears that there is now a user-defined VR tag
Can someone please describe what the VR control scheme is like? Does it use the HMD as a controller so that you can use real-life leaning mechanics? I'm an avid biker IRL and am hoping this is correctly simulated here.
Be aware that MXB VR is very much experimental, and not for everyone.
Edit: Set a IPD value with openvr.ini which made it playable, but it still feels like there's a stereo rendering issue with the engine.
Edit 2: Found the cause, in Graphics settings "Screen Ratio:" must be set to default which is "Resolution" otherwise it will apply to the VR displays and effect 3D overlap.
Thankyou for the report and fix!
I like your ideas except for #2. I ride motorcycles (albeit on the road) and this would be very strange having to lean your head to lean your bike? Most riders heads remain upright even at very acute angles. I think lean should be combine angle of the controllers - seeing as you are using them as "real" handle bars, then and the "bar" tilts left, the angle of the bike should lean left. But then how would the game respond at different speeds, and what about counter steer too? Also, forward and backwards weight movement should be head position in comparison to the bars.
There's a LOT of sub conscious things going on when riding a motorcycle that is SO hard to put into a game like this.
Until a motorcycle VR game gets this somewhat right I'll probably just stick to the real thing. I don't think I would enjoy using a controller / joystick to control the bike. It has to be VR motion controls and it has to be well thought out.
I deeply sympathise with the dev, this is not an easy task to even get right on paper, let alone program into a game. (and I'm a web developer, so I have a little more understanding than most just what it can take to get things right that most people take for granted)
Good luck dev, I wish you all the best. I'll be following this title closely.
1. your pitched 10 degrees or so forward, very confusing.
2. your head position is locked to the camera position (not your playspace to the bike), so no leaning left and right from the handlebars
3. the rotation-tracking has some sort of weird gimbal lock...
I just get in rage when I try to do a few laps in VR at the moment, really hoping for further updates ):
