A real VR support ?
Hi, Piboso !

Do you plan to make MX Bikes totally compatible with VR elements ? I mean, menu, UI, controllers, etc ?...
Because, as a lot of people after tasting VR, I almost only play this way.
And in the MX Bikes demo, it's just half supported. Very annoying to remove helmet to navigate in menu with the mouse.

Thank you for your time !

Cordially.

PS : And yes, we need GP Bikes on Steam, too :)

I got a strange view when I ran the demo. Best way to describe it is I was on left side of the bike. Not actually sitting on the bike.

I also got nauseous very quickly. I am not new to VR. It's rare for me to feel sick from a game or app but this game did. Maybe the bike and player needs to be fixed to the horizon?

I am using an oculus rift.

Same here. There is a framerate trouble in the demo. I really hope Piboso will not neglect the VR part in the future...

You can use all the menus in VR, there is no need to remove the HMD.

@Zippy, there is button you can set to reset the view to your liking, it often turns up way off in the game depending on where your HMD was when you started the game.

FPS is ok for me, but this will depend on hardware and GFX settings used.

This game will test your VR legs for sure, soon got used to it myself though.

I usually use my HMD on the couch far enough from my pc, and I would like to use a controller (Xbox One or Touch) to navigate in the menu, without to having guess where is my mouse or my keyboard.

Concerning my hardware, I have a i7 2600K oc at 4.2Ghz and a GTX 1070ti.
I lowered graphics and even in low, it's like if some decor elements did not move smoothly (fences, trees...).

this is the only game that make me dizzy with rift. cant drive in vr, after 30sec i feel sick and have to stop. maybe because i was driving motocross in real life many years, its totaly ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ with zero g-forces lol

looks awesome in VR but they really need controller support or the game is practically unplayable. Even the cheap indie motorcycle games lets you steer with your hands.

It does support just about every controller there is, just needs a mouse for the menus.

MX Bikes VR is an experiment... It's probably too intense for most people.
It's aimed primarily at more complex sim setups, and as such we're not going to support motion controllers.

What "more complex sim setups" are you talking about? Sim racing is a niche corner of the market as it is, and even then only a small percentage of people have high end (complex) sim equipment.

Do you mean people with motorcycle sim rigs then? By the Nine, that is going for the world record in niche if that's the target audience!

A simple stick through my Vive controllers for a handlebar would be a nice option.

I am wondering the same as Raging Beard... can you even get a motorcycle sim rig? I saw this game in the VR section yesterday and got really excited... but uh... well, just now I found out from the above comments that you wont be implementing motion controllers. that makes no sense to me. Guess I wont be buying this one. I have a racing wheel for Dirt in VR but I have never ever seen a motorcycle version of the racing wheel... good luck on your endeavour devs. and using a controller in VR is just weird... only VR game in my experience where that makes sense is Trover saves the Universe. Dirt VR with a regular gamepad is awful... which only makes me assume this would feel about as awful as that.

Yea! Please Vive handlebar or even VRfree support (then I could use anything)

Wait...what do you mean with EXPERIMENT?

I just bought the game EXCLUSIVELY BECAUSE of VR Support.

I have a Vive Pro and believe, I love fast intense and crazy speed games in VR. I'm not only immune to motion sickness but also the illusion of speed in VR is outstanding in simulations.

Please, if you are going to remove VR Support tell me now to refund it immediately.

Otherwise, go full throttle on VR awesomeness here :)

EDIT: I just played it for the first time and I loved it how it looks!!
Sadly I'm really bad playing this with a gamepad trying to apply the correct balance. Are you going to add the leaning support for the VR HMD? because that would be awesome if done correctly. Besides that the view in VR had some glitches, like the MX Bikes loading title in front of the game even when it finished loading, also that the menus were not seen or lost at some point.

I will upload a video even if I'm so bad playing but the idea is that I want other VR players know about this game.
Besides the VR HMD real balance I guess many others will ask about using the VR Controls in the same way to drive the bike.

CHEERS!
