Strength Trainers?
Joined the Old Camp. In chapter 4 currently. I stupidly joined the Water Mages despite being a melee character since I didn't know doing so would lock out strength training with Lee. So, who can I rely on to train strength for my character?

Lares in the New Camp also teaches Strength.

Getting near him involves aggroing both himself and his bodyguard. Not a tough fight, but I can't strength train from a hostile or corpse. Any tips on avoiding that?

Eh...You could try to let him knock you down and see if that removes his aggro on you.
Be sure to put all of your ore in a chest though, otherwise they'll take it from you once you're down.

Otherwise there's one strength trainer in the Sect camp, though I'm not sure if there are any requirements before he'll teach you.

Angar won't teach me unless I'm in the Sect Camp. Also, I just looked it up and Lares de-aggroes only if you go with Mordrag, who is dead. Is Diego still an option?

If Diego still teaches Strength, he's probably near one of the two gates of the Old Camp.
I'm not sure where he goes to when he leaves the area.

I never got into a situation like that where there was no teacher, so the only other thing I can think of is to use console commands to spawn in the characterhelper.
You may consider it cheating a bit, but he does teaches Strength.

Please note that you should save before attempting this, and that the interface is in German.
Also I'm not sure if you will get more LP/HP from this. I did got a few weapons, ore, potions and some other items while messing with this though.

To spawn in the CH:
-Press S and quickly type 'marvin'. You should get a notification about 'Test-Mode'
-Press F2 to open the now enabled console
-Type the following in the console 'insert ch' and talk to the newly spawned NPC
-First you need to choose your current level
-Go to 'Atribbute stärke'. Here you can increase your Strength

Two questions:

1: Is there a way to just spawn in a teacher instead?

2: With all my artifacts, I have 97 strength, and I can replace one of my rings with another Ring of Strength if need be. Is that enough to get to the end?

With 97 strength you are able to use all the weapons in the game, so you won't have to worry about missing out on anything.
As for being able to finish the game with that? I would say yes.
There are a few encounters with a certain enemy that you might have some problems with as a melee char, but a good Summon scroll is advised for those battles anyway since they can stunlock you.

Gothic 1 unfortunatly doesn't allows you to spawn in specific NPS's as far as I'm aware.
I can't find any ID codes for them either. That's what the CharacterHelper is for, as he's pretty much the all-in-one trainer.

My advise would be to just continue and see how it goes with the strength you got.
Chapter 4 shouldn't be much of a problem, and chapter 5...well I don't want to spoil that, but I wouldn't worry too much about possibly being underpowered for the time being.

All right. Worst-case scenario, I'll just summon the helper and have him give me however much strength I would normally have gotten. Although, I should probably point out, that strength is including my Ring of Strength and Amulet of Strength.

Or you could spawn in a strength potion instead:
"insert itfo_potion_master_02" in the console
Spawns one Potion of Supremacy, +6 STR and +6 DEX per potion.
