Thanks for the upload. Unfortunately, if I choose the gothic directory in the installer of your systempack, it refuses to install the systempack ...

your having the same issue Sanya? i uninstalled the game as it was soo much trouble..please let me know if you find a solution...when you hit new game does it take you to an error page...and crashes right? im on win 10/ gtx 970 i5 4690k

I cannot install the system pack because I cannot select the folder it is in :/

go into the gothic files after you dowload them 2 things...1.08 exe and the kit....under gothic files youll see a bunch of exe gothics..use the gothicstarter.exe and use that it works...run as admin too

Download works, but along with the others, I cannot install the pack to my directory, let alone the default it chooses as the install button is grayed out. No matter which directory you choose, it's grayed out. I do not know what willakadirk1 means by "1.08 exe" since the only download link was to the kit. I don't know what he means by "a bunch of exe gothics" either or the gothicstarter.exe. I thought he meant the systempack, but running it as admin does not work either, and I don't see "gothicstarter", just GOTHIC.EXE, .INI, and .RPT. Also I don't seem to be having the same issue as anybody else. I'm on Windows 10 and the game WILL start up, but it'll run in the background with no game popping up.

Once installed go to the Gothic installation folder and locate GothicStarter.exe in the Data folder.
You then use that to start the game.

yes dreamcaster go to this directory exactly assuming you have steam and gothic installed all fresh , if not sure delete local content and reinstall fresh: left click start menu/windows logo bottomleft of desktop. goto file explorer click on whatever has windows on it me local disk (C:) being that then go to programs (x86) click, then click Steam folder, then click steamapps, then click common folder, then Gothic...okay next goto the system folder...in there is all the executable apps you can run...ignore all except the GothicStarter.exe... right click it and highlight it then COPY... okay paste it to your desktop and run game that way with that new one on your desktop with administer rights and see if that works ok!!
