Cannot wait for switch update!

I can't wait to upgrade to this version, what's on Switch. Of the more interesting features, it's an inventory similar to the one in Gothic 2 + categorization, new controls, fixing a lot of bugs and I guess they'll finally add achievements :D

I know that the devs have confirmed that we will receive the switch updates on PC at some point which is great. Can't wait to replay both G1 and G2. My question right now is if G1 on switch will also receive the dynamic shadows that G2 got while using the High Quality option. Maybe @T-Moor here on the forums can shed some light on this. Cheers.

I can't really confirm which exactly things will come to the PC version and how and when, but speaking of better shadows, I don't see a problem. But we will see.

It hasn't and there isn't. At this point, I wouldn't be surprised if they're arbitrarily waiting until the game's anniversary on 15 March.

I think the best course of action would be to finish polishing the switch versions of g1 and g2 to get rid of any outstanding issues that still remain and once that work wraps up the dev team can focus on pushing the updates to steam and gog. Just my 2 cents on the matter. Cheers.

Exactly. There is no need to rush. I also saw some bugs on YouTube in the Switch version. In my opinion, Gothic 2 on Switch came out too early. They didn't even patch the new bugs as well as the old ones from the first part.
