Gothic russian version
There's two russian versions of Gothic Russobit and Snowball, and i have a question to russian players:

1. Why do you have 2 versions?
2. There's 2 russian versions of Gothic 2 and Gothic 3? (or it's only Snowball)
3. Do russian versions have something unique? Like more texts or items?
4. What version do you like better and why?
5. I heard about one of Gothic 2 release it has included "Returning" mod is it true?

1. Snowball translation was first, based on english version. Then distribution rights were officially aquired by Russobit, allowing them to make their own translation based on original german version. Russobit version included some patches, mod starter and Diccuric fan mod;
2. G2, G3 and Arcania were translated by Akella;
3. Russobit version have In Extremo concert missing in english and Snowball versions, but that's all;
4. Russobit - correct translation, Snowball - good voices. And vice versa. Most of the russian players prefer Snowball version due to first impression effect and childhood memories - this translation was released first and flooded the market;
5. Could be some unofficial bootleg edition, but never heard of something like this.

Thank you for respond and i have a last question: What version of G1 steam have? Russobit or Snowball?

And what patches?

None of that, Steam Gothic doesn't have any russian version. But both translations are available as separate community packs:

Steam version is 1.08j while the latest official is 1.08k.
Also Steam version doesn't have mod starter.

That's weird we have full polish version on steam with dubbing.

1.08j? G2 have zEngine 2.7, newer version of G2..

That's just international 2.6 with english text support. Nothing more.
