Gothic Starter issue

Hello there.Is there someone who could help me? While starting a game there appears a Gothic started I click on start the game but nothing happens.What should I do?

Does it run as a process in process explorer/task manager? If it runs in background you may check details of that process (right click) and then analyze wait chain in that details window (again right click). There may be some process from your software blocking Gothic. If so, disable this blocking process.

You may also disable DEP (Data Execution Prevention) for Gothic.exe and set administrator rights for Gothic.exe.

You're a real joker. From when 4-month-old reddit post from you (with links to old versions of D36 Gothic Fix ) is more up to date than my steam guide which was updated 2 weeks ago (with links to the source files included in it)? Do you even know that there is a new version of Union/Gothic Fix?

D36 stuff is great but your braindead copy/paste is a joke. She has her own guides on steam with proper links to proper files - your guide links to files from 12/2020 when her own guide has links to files from 06/2021.

Do you even read OP problem or you just copy/paste as usual (I have seen your out-of-the-blue copy/paste many times but for the first time I got pissed when I saw a blatant lie about my guide)? Maybe just do something yourself and update your guide ... but maybe not because it's just links to old D36 work.

1. First off, judging from your tone - you have clear problems.
2. You suggest I don't read OP's problem while at the same time you link nearly the exact same solution as mine.
3. Your guide still talks about old Systempack 1.8. Double standards. Update your guide.
4. The differences between some versions of Union are so microscopic (some are not even meant for players), so D36 recommended to not bother everytime a minor update comes out.

Clearly you have a problems with reading. My guide has 2 sections - pre-march patch and post-march patch. System pack 1.9 is in pre-release version so it is not included (and even with that link is directing to the github with both 1.8 and 1.9) as for me stable version is default. I provide links to authors websites/projects and not directly to files (except textures as those were unavailable to download at some point from media sharing sites) so people may check latest version/author/other informations/ask for help. And I do not lie that other guides are not up to date while linking Gothic Fix from half a year ago. Which you ofc ommited in your "answer".
