Coconut Problems

1. No liquid in coconuts upon initial opening.
2. Unable to drink from coconuts after they fill with rain water.
3. Unable to fill water barrel with coconuts filled with rain water.

Hi, G4GT. Just tried to start a game (post fix). I found that when I had either a green or brown cut coconut in my backpack, I was given the option to "Eat", but when I did, nothing happened except the option to do so went away; it didn't reduce my thirst at all. This was after I had drank from the coconut while it was still on the ground, so perhaps it just shouldn't still give the eat option once it's then moved into inventory?

I was also experiencing a light, constant rain which appeared to be akin to the "raining out of a clear blue sky" bug, as it did nothing to fill coconut pots I put out.

Also, when I drop an empty coconut pot, it appears to have liquid in it, even though it's empty.

Lastly, I found a green coconut lying on the ground. O.O Is this a thing now, or was it a bug?

Update: In two other games I've started, the (empty) coconut pots have now appeared empty when dropped, as opposed to appearing full.

Also, I found a brown coconut lying on the ground in another game attempt, so I'm guessing it's a thing?

Hi nextgengranny and jaydeebar:
we just found out that the cases #2 and #3 can happen: when you have a coconut in your hands/inventory slot, drink it using the opened Inventory "Eat" button, drop it and let it fill with rainwater.

Could you confirm that?

we fixed all the issues mentioned in this topic and the fix is uploaded. Thank you very much for the savegames and for the reports!

Please keep in mind, that from now on the rain not falls directly down but under an angle which depends from the wind strength. We will fine tune this mechanic but the best practice to fill some objects with rain water is to place them on wide open area.

:-D It is not a bug, it is a feature. It is also mentioned in the release notes.

Yes, I missed that about the loose coconuts in the patch notes, which made it a pleasant surprise when I discovered them. ^^ It made me think what would it be like, to play an update w/o reading the notes at all first...o.O, O.O, -.-, :), or :D ?! ;)

Having issues with the first step of game, find green coconut and drink. But when I find them and choose any of the beginning weapons of choice (ie; knife, hammer, axe) and hit them to drink from them they disappear without completing the step. why are they disappearing? I am playing on windows 10 console.
