It's so they can offer "90%" off deals on sales. "Oh look, 90% off, what a deal!", even though it's just the original price.

also they sell the keys cheaply outside of Valve so that people can donate them to giveaway sites and get inflated credit "oh look he donated a 70-dollar game" (not knowing he bought it for 50 cents) let's give him access to the 5th-level giveasways

I don't know why Steam doesn't stop this, they know they're not making a single sale from this ♥♥♥♥ right?

Any game that has a price spike like this should be automatically flagged for internal review.
There are so many janky looking budget games that do it too, easy to find them if you have a look at SteamDB regularly for price changes.

Steam/Valve doesn't seem to care, I've reported dozens of them without consequence, it's turning their store into an embarassment.

I'm not saying be as picky about your library as Epic, but c'mon
