What Xbox 360 controller fixes? ive tried pasting the 360 settings into the config file and its not working and using Xpadder still makes the game think im using a controller so now i have attack and slide bound to 1 button... if theres a downloadable hack/patch please link it.
i'm using a custom made profile from xpadder and works flawlessy, don't forget to run xpadder, unplug the controller, start the game, plug the controller on the main menu screen, in order to propely work
EDIT: nobody knows where i can find the xbox360 button prompt ingame for DMC3?
Ok so this is why my game is messed up... im not plugging in the controller on the menu screen
Thanks for all the positive feedback, fellas. I honestly kinda thought this guide would only help a few people but then kinda just sink away.
Guess I was wrong. xD!
This is DMC3, not DMC4.
You can only change styles when you're on that screen where you save and buy items, skills or when you're at those statues with the hour glasses in levels.
You're thinking of DMC4 where you can change styles on the fly.
Though i dont know if it works for the wireless controller but it will work for the wired models with no problems.

I'm using a 360 controller, and had the same thing happen when I got this a few days ago. I found a thread online where somebody posted a fix, and it worked perfectly for me. I can't vouch for other controllers. Anyways, big thanks to the user FelixLegend on overclock.net for posting this originally.
Firstly: go to your control panel's devices and printers section, as you need to make sure the exact title of your controller matches what you're about to be copying and pasting. For example, mine shows as "Xbox 360 Wireless Receiver for Windows" as opposed to "XBOX 360 for Windows."
Next, head to your DMC3 install folder. Open up DMC3SE.ini with notepad. Scroll down to the bottom and paste in the following.
#----------------------------------------------------------------------
[Controller (XBOX 360 For Windows)]
START = 7
SELECT = 6
CIRCLE = 1
TRIANGLE = 3
SQUARE = 2
CROSS = 0
L1 = 4
R1 = 5
L2 = 11
R2 = 12
L3 = 8
R3 = 9
L<->R = 1
Be sure to change the part inside the parentheses if yours shows up like mine. After you do that, save the file and fire DMC3 back up. Everything should be working.
You may still want to tweak the mapping in the options menu. I honestly can't remember if I left it as the defaults or not, but it fixed the reversed sticks issue and that's all that really mattered to me.
