WTF style changer
Why is there no easy install version of this since everyone
at least on steam have the same version.

Having to download five different files, install, just to open
another file to extract more files.... I get editing the .ini for your
specific controller and other per choice settings.

What's next? HEX editing.
But seriously some one should just upload an already
done/modded */data2 folder or at least the files to put in it.

Easy mode please. It would be for everyone's benefit,
so we all could enjoy this great classic in its full glory.

I think you're missing the point.
Why not make a pack with all this already in it?

Looks like it'll be me then.

I am not sure why, though I'm assuming its about certain legalities, since you're modifying and distributing a large part of the product. It would be similar to pirating.
Osten May 23, 2015 @ 5:36am
There would be no way to run them in any way without the rest of the files.
So without actually owning the game - or pirating it - they would do nothing.
And if you didn't have it you'd need all the tools mentioned in the tutorial just to open them.

A community patch like this is to the benefit off the game and its developers.
It should be easier than this - so let's not be paranoid. I guess one could make a
one-click program for the patching itself, but that would require coding.

So I'm going to upload this somewhere when I'm done.
Capcom can sue me if they want to.

Probably for legal reasons since you need to basically unpack the sounds for every Style in order for them to work.

The modder in question doesn't appreciate their work being reuploaded except for personal use.
Osten Jun 6, 2015 @ 1:08am
If I don't give a crap about Capcom, what makes you think I care about Mr.Modder?
Don't get me wrong, I really appreciate their work, and as mentioned earlier,
none of this works unless you actually have the entire game.

Also, what do you mean by "personal use"? It all is.

Considering the dude gave us a style switch mod for DMC3 ten years after originally released, I think everyone deserves pay the man some respect. He's more crazy than any of us will ever be.

there"s only one tiny tiny tiny problem. the game comes with an old game version. you have to update it to 1.3 version, HOWEVER. that patch doesnt work with steam version of DMC3. when i open the patch unpacker it only says "installation destination not found" . which means i cant install the 1.3 version, and the old version just crashes when i install the mod....
any help to this problem?
Broadsword Jun 16, 2015 @ 8:52am
Steam should already be at the 1.3 version.

Follow the install instructions word for word. I won't copy and paste them, but I will say:

Make sure you've copied the sound files from Gdata into Data2, and that your Gdata archive is saved as an AFS file in the root directory.
