Devil May Cry 3: Special Edition

Xinputplus?
I can't seem to get it to work. I can bind just fine in the gamepad config, but I can't launch the config through steam and it also doesn't work in-game.

Edit : Disabling Steam input from the game, not Steam fixes it.

Check if you have GPadCfg in your DMC3SE folder.

If you installed Style Switcher Mod, it's highly likely that it got transferred to "_Restore" folder.

What kind of controller do you have anyway?
Nova Lite. Everything seems to work just fine. It just won't load I guess.

I tried both before and after. I haven't tried moving the exe and ini after installing ss tho, I'll try later.

Without the configuration from XInput Plus, GPadCfg will always show an error when it comes to Xbox controller.

The Xbox/XInput controller will be detected by GPadCfg if the XInput Plus related files (dinput.dll, dinput8.dll, XInput1_3.dll, XInputPlus.ini) were properly placed.

As I said, everything works just fine. I can run GPadCfg directly. But I got the error when launching it through Steam.

Try downgrading to XInput Plus v4.15 or older then delete the files (dinput.dll, dinput8.dll, XInput1_3.dll and XInputPlus.ini) and repeat the steps.

Not sure if the latest needs .NET Framework or what library to run since I tried the latest version of XInput Plus (4.16.1) on a newly fresh installed Windows 10 and the game closes even with DirectX June 2010 and Visual C++ Redistributables 2015-2022. Not sure if you'll need the previous years version as well.

Thanks everybody, I'll try all of those. It worked on non-steam program. As of now I just work it around by mapping everything with steam input, combining both accepted/remapable keyboard and controller button.
