who cares what they do with their newer games, i don't understand why add it to old ones.
Also, plenty of people care for this drm bs to be shoved in newer games. They already shoved Denuovo in there and now this will be in it too, at least they remove Denuovo after a while.
As of 20240828 you can still buy it from Humble Bundle :
https://www.humblebundle.com/store/devil-may-cry-3-special-edition
that is entirely up to Capcom.
100%. Don't even try to think otherwise!
EVERY change to Resident Evil games GOG did, was authorised by the publisher - there's really no "freedom for GOG to do whatever" - people misunderstand this a lot - every change GOG does is authorised by the publisher - GOG cannot and will not, make changes which are not authorised. Period.
Same goes for companies like Aspyr making remasters ( also the reason why some Borderlands ports are outdated, because the PUBLISHER has not authorised them any further ).
I also want to make a semi-related remark while at it:
I warn anyone and everyone that GOG com is not what it used to be like 15 years ago.
They are actively false advertising ( as a matter of a fact: NOT EVERY game on their platform is DRM-free ), they are also for some time now affiliated with Epic Games, they are also supporting censorship and bowing down to dictatorships, their forum moderation is EITHER heavy-handed or NON-existent ( usually the latter, their forum is in some places worse than 4chan, xenophobia and hate speech are wide spread phenomenons ), NOTHING in between, they are ignoring community feedback, they don't provide checksums for installer files ( on a platform BOASTING about being "pro DRM-free", go figure ), for some games you actually NEED their launcher in order to get the latest version ( offline installers can be outdated ), their game reviews are UNFILTERED, meaning they outright allow copy-pasting reviews from other platforms, or even straight out lies, and there are many many other problems with GOG.
A lot of "veteran users" had their final straw long time ago and have left the platform.
If buying on GOG, do your research for every game individually, because things may not be as advertised.
That's about it.
Good luck...
I have not referenced whatever website you are referencing...
I linked to HumbleBundle...
Also - way to go - a giant necro just to say some random website has it for overpriced cost... smh...
All while the very link I gave still has it available, for less than 1/3 of the price you cited...
