For those who has a problem with the triggers (LT/RT) on Style Switcher mod
Hi, this is a fast guide to help anyone who has this same problems. Im using the lastest version of SS (3.1.6) on DMC3 Special Edition. I don't know if this is a definitive solution, but after trying it on a very cheap generic joystick, i want to share this info.

If your triggers doesn't work on the game, try this:
  • Go to the "_Restore" folder inside your root directory (it should be C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Devil May Cry 3)
  • Inside that folder, you will find an executable called "GPadCfg.exe"
  • Execute the file, and you will see a the name of your controller and the picture of a Joystick
  • Map your buttons by making click on them, and then, push the button on your gamepad, do that for every other button (you don't need to map the d-pad, just the buttons)
  • After you finished, double click on save. You can close the exe if you want. Now, you will go to the "DMC3SE.ini" found on the same folder, open it with Notepad.
  • At the bottom of that file, you will find something like this:

[USB Joystick] START = 9 SELECT = 8 CIRCLE = 1 TRIANGLE = 0 SQUARE = 3 CROSS = 2 L1 = 4 R1 = 5 L2 = 6 R2 = 7 L3 = 10 R3 = 11 L<->R = 0

  • (The [USB Joystick] string will be changed to the name of your gamepad, so you will know where is your config)
  • Copy this part of the ini, starting from [*Gamepad Name*] to L<->R = 0
  • Now, you will return to the root directory of your DMC3 game, and you will now open the dmc3se.ini found there
  • Replace the configuration inside the file with the one that you copy before
  • Change L<->R from 0 to 1, if you leave it on 0, you will not be able to move Dante in game
  • The file should look like this:

[USB Joystick] START = 9 SELECT = 8 CIRCLE = 1 TRIANGLE = 0 SQUARE = 3 CROSS = 2 L1 = 4 R1 = 5 L2 = 6 R2 = 7 L3 = 10 R3 = 11 L<->R = 1

And that is what i did to fix the problem with the triggers, i hope that this will be useful to someone. Sorry for my bad english, too.

Your English is great.
The broken bindings in this game are a fail.
I can't even use the "styleswitcher" config tool because my XBXONE controllers triggers are not recognized by the tool...:steamfacepalm: so I can't save a config...further more I have about 6 other controllers recognized by the .ini file so I don't even know which one the game /config tool sees as my main...

I was able to bypass all this and play it by choosing a basic XBX360 config within bigpicture mode...then EXITING bigpicture mode launching the game through the regular steam client library and reconfigureing my bindings through the in game option config menu...where the triggers still malfuction and are seen as momentary buttons that can't be held down...

and I STILL have to exit the game through Alt-Tab because there's no option within the game's main menu...
ugh...what a mess....
can you add me as friend i need help fixing this

If you're using XInput/Xbox controllers, you need XInput Plus[pcgamingwiki.com] then GPadCfg will work afterwards.
