Game resolution
Greetings!
I have a problem with resolution in this game - I recently downloaded it and played, but something's wrong with the screen size. If I remember right even with its 1024 resolution this game was with 4:3 ratio in fullscreen, there were black bars on both sides.
But now its size goes somewhat borderless, there are no black bars. But image looks very stretched in fullscreen; in windowed mode it looks fine.
Were there any changes within the game or maybe it happened after release of DMC HD Collection?

You need the Style Switcher mod for widescreen resolutions. For more info check one of the Steam Guides

...urm, ze drill is different. I played this version of DMC3, like, three years ago, and I didn't use Style Switcher mod at all. I didn't use any mods or screen resolution .exes, the game was in 1024x768 and with black bars on both sides in fullscreen via Alt+Enter.
I dunno why it shows stretched image now, there are no black bars whatsoever.

Grab the Style Switcher mod anyway since it fixes the performance problems with the game, offers you to disable blur filters and has great optional gameplay features

hey, i was very frustrating because i did not want to use style switcher, because i really like to play old games exactly as i remember it, but never found a solution. but i had the same problem with other old games, so i started to look for more generic solutions, and i found one that may help someone. in my nvidia configuration panel, on some option like "adjust scale and position of desktop" (my windows is in portuguese so i don't know how exactly it will be on your windows), then i just switched from "fullscreen" to "aspect ratio". then, my dmc got the black bars again :D

opa, poderia me explicar oq vc fez? tentei agr e continua esticado

You can still play the game naturally with Style Switcher Mod. The "style switch" feature is disabled by default when installed.

Tente também clicar com o botão direito em DMC3SE.exe > Propriedades > Compatibilidade > Alterar configurações de DPI alto > habilitar tudo > OK

Also try right-clicking DMC3SE.exe > Properties > Compatibility > Change high DPI settings > enable everything > OK
