Can someone help me with installing the Style Switcher mod?

Okay so I installed DMC 3. I ran it and it booted up fine and everything. I know the port sucks so I hear about this style switcher mod that fixes a lot of issues.

I install that mod and followed the instructions to the letter (the instructions provided within the mod itself). I then tried booting the game and nothing happens. It just shows up very briefly in task manager and that's it.

I tried uninstalling Style Switcher and suddenly my game works again so it's likely an issue with the mod. I have tried compatibility mode and running as admin but to no avail.
Can I get help in getting this mod to work?

Try using this pack, it includes everything you need + instructions on how to install it, it's mostly just dragging and dropping files.

I had the same issues, but had a slight solution.

When trying to install Style Switcher 3.1.6, I just didn't do the XinputPlus step. The game runs for me fine now, however I have no idea on weapon switching as I haven't played enough to get new weapons yet.

As for the one suggested by MechaMike, I can't get that working at all. Every time I go through all the steps, it just does what the OP says, shows up briefly in task manager and then dies. No clue as to why it is doing this.

@Mr Bubbles try using MechaMike's starter pack link and follow the readme precisely, if not your game will crash on start or briefly

@Jareson your game most likely crashes after installing the Starter Pack because you either did not follow Step 1 or your StyleSwitcher.ini may have a letter or two missing or incorrectly edited (Like putting 1920X1080@60 instead of 1920x1080@60)

Well there is native folder inside of Xbox One button prompts. Where shall I put that folder? And also the one I downloaded from Nexus had bin folder where shall I put it too? And what exactly button prompts supposed to be?

Open the folder and copy its contents into the game root folder.

Wait. Do you mean you downloaded both the starter pack and the Style Switcher mod from Nexus ? You can't do both. You have to either install the starter pack or the singular style switcher mod.

So there isn't bin folder? It was on the nonsteam version though?

Well I just have downloaded Style Switcher mod from Nexus and Starter Pack. I know they are both different mods, I wasn't going to apply both. I just wanted to know which folder belongs to where.

The game itself does not have a bin folder.

Dunno. Just extract the content of the bin into the game root.

Is there a mod which improve CGs, cutscene and menu? Or only fix the core for fun?

I have the same issues as the main commenter, I followed the starter pack's steps to the T, but all I see in task manager is WeFault.exe for a couple of seconds and then the game never starts. Please help, I really wanna play with style switching. I've also tried installing the base style switcher mod to no avail.

Read everything in this wiki except Starter Park, skip that. Change your .ini settings once its set up to enable weapon and style switcher.
