Save file locations
I understand quite possibly over 9000 people have asked, but may I *also* ask where I could find the save files for this game? I just want to back them up, not the whole game itself.

It's in the main DMC3 folder under dmc3se.exe there should be save0.sav

Next time check the PC gaming wiki it should have all the details you need most of the time.

the installation folder comes with read only attributes,
I removed this attribute,
changed the game to run as administrator for all users,
then I made a text file on desktop by the name of sav0.sav and copy it to the game installation folder,
then I removed the .sav part from the file,
I started the game as an administrator,
finished level 1 saved the game and then in the game folder the save file was there.
